Job summary

Pediatrics Plus in Central Arkansas seeks a Family Relations Specialist to advocate for families and children, guiding them through the referral process for outpatient therapy and developmental preschool services. You will coordinate intake, explain insurance benefits, and schedule evaluations with parents, while ensuring timely communication with locations and state agencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Must be able to work with clients birth to age 21 and families.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Computer skills including database, word processing, spreadsheet and internet software.

Responsibilities

• The Family Relations Specialist completes the referral process for outpatient therapy and developmental preschool operations.
• Completes the referral intake process, updates systems, and requests paperwork.
• Explains insurance benefits, discusses funding options, and schedules outpatient evaluations with parents.
• Schedules outpatient therapy and developmental preschool initial evaluations with parents.
• Communicates with state agencies and on-site locations to ensure quality of the referral process.
