Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Pediatric Emergency RN for full-time 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week). Shift: days, 10-10p. NEW PAY RATES FOR 2026 and welcome bonus eligible up to $35,000.

The Pediatrics/PICU team is a 40-bed unit with cross-trained nurses providing pediatric and critical care. The RN coordinates care, administers meds, educates families, and collaborates with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the U.S. and current clinical nursing practice.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and documentation.
• Experience or exposure to pediatrics or emergency care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per policies.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborates with team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control standards and documents in medical records.
• Engages in performance improvement initiatives and compliance checks.
