Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatrics Emergency/PICU team. This full-time role supports patients up to age 18 on a 40-bed pediatrics/PICU unit, with cross-training for both populations. Expect day shifts (10-10), 0–2 years experience preferred, and a welcome bonus eligible up to $35,000.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in state or compact state
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• NRP preferred for neonatal care
• 0-2 years clinical nursing in acute care requested

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Collaborates with team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.

Education

RN licensure (state)

BCLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) preferred
