Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during shifts. You will collaborate with leadership to monitor nursing care, supervise staff, and uphold the facility’s standards.

Role requires FL RN licensure, BLS, and certifications; ER experience is essential. A BSN is preferred, with opportunities for professional development and a strong emphasis on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or have compact license with FL RN active within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC certificates required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required within 6 months of hire.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.
• Strong clinical leadership and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of unit functions during the shift.
• Directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with policies/procedures.
• Collaborates with management to create teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery.
• Oversees staff scheduling and labor for patient care needs.
• Assists with interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
