Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services to join our pediatric trauma team. This full-time night shift role focuses on assessing, planning, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment of a Magnet-designated hospital.

Qualifications

Active Florida RN license or multi-state eNLC in good standing.
BLS certification from American Heart Association in good standing.
PALS certification current within the past 2 years.
CPI certification current within 1 year.

Responsibilities

Conducts comprehensive multi-system assessments for pediatric ER and trauma patients.
Communicates patient progress with physicians and care teams with close loop communication.
Initiates IV access, collects specimens, performs POC testing, and administers medications.
Provides 1:1 patient care and transports patients to procedures as needed.
Performs bedside hand-off communication at shift changes and transfers.
Completes discharge planning with accurate EMR documentation.
