Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant for the Liberty Emergency Department. The role supports Plan of Care under RN supervision, assists with activities of daily living, and may provide 1-on-1 observation as needed.

Evening/night shifts require CPR-certified candidates who can maintain patient safety, assist with transport, and uphold Cincinnati Children's CARES behaviors in all interactions. Hospital environment emphasizes infection control and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of medical/clinical rotation or equivalent otherwise considered.
• CPR training and certification required.
• Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA eligibility/reciprocity within 180 days of hire or equivalent.
• One year of patient care experience or completion of organization’s Patient Care Assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - provide approved care under supervision of RN and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient transport and 1-on-1 observation as needed.
• Demonstrate CARES behaviors and ensure timely documentation in medical records.
• Maintain safe, organized, infection-controlled work areas and support co-workers as needed.
