Thom Child & Family Services in Springfield, MA seeks an Early Intervention Physical Therapist/Clinician to provide home and community based services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or risks. You will partner with families to tailor IFSPs and support child development in natural environments.

The role emphasizes parent coaching, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice, with a competitive benefits package and salary range of $63,000 to $68,000 per year.

Competenze

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families is preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
• Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
• Good computer skills as well as strong documentation skills.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.

Mansioni

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities developmentally appropriate for children birth to three and their families using parent coaching model.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines are followed.
• Partner with families in the development of IFSPs to identify goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child’s development.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child's development; assist families to act as advocates for their child.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate using the Thom electronic documentation system.
• Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in the areas of cognition, adaptive behavior, social-emotional development, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication.]
