Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join our pediatric early intervention team. The role focuses on delivering home and community-based services to infants and toddlers birth to three, collaborating with families to set individualized goals grounded in evidence-based practice.

You will participate in multidisciplinary assessments, develop IFSP objectives, and provide direct services with a family-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Massachusetts Board.
• One year of early intervention experience or pediatrics.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with families.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual or bicultural background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments.
• Provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and families.
• Develop IFSP goals and strategies.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence.
• Provides individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three with delays or risk.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Act as service coordinator for the family by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan.
• Provides supportive professional assistance to families.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child's development; assist families to advocate for their child.
