Job summary

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is seeking a part-time Pediatric Dentist to join the team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves diagnosing and treating children, delivering preventive care, and using behavior guidance or sedation when needed.

Collaboration with residents and other dentists is essential. The hospital campus offers teaching opportunities and a mission to provide care to all New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree.
• Active New York State Dental License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Perform pediatric dental care such as fluoride treatments, dental sealants, restorative, endodontic, and exodontia using both behavior guidance and sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback of dental residents.
• Conduct didactic instruction, including lectures, and case presentations.
• Assess resident performance and contribute to formal periodic evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA regulations and standards are met.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $37,000* based on 8-hour work week.

Additional Benefits:

• Projected bonus of up to $8,000(based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
