Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health is seeking a part-time Pediatric Dentist to join New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA). You will examine and diagnose oro-dental issues, provide fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, endodontics, and extractions, with behavior guidance and sedation as needed.

You will collaborate with general dentists and specialists, supervise residents, deliver didactic instruction, and participate in evaluations while upholding OSHA, HIPAA, and CODA standards in

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree required.
• Active New York State Dental License required.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Dentistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Perform pediatric dental care such as fluoride treatments, dental sealants, restorative, endodontic, and exodontia using both behavior guidance and sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback of dental residents.
• Conduct didactic instruction, including lectures, and case presentations.
• Assess resident performance and contribute to formal periodic evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA regulations and standards are met.

Education

Active New York State Dental License
