Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health is seeking a part-time Endodontist to join New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA). You will diagnose and treat complex endodontic cases, supervise residents, and collaborate with general dentists, within a modern, teaching hospital setting.

The role offers a base salary of $57,750 with a potential bonus up to $10,500, plus a 401(k) plan and malpractice coverage. NYC Health + Hospitals is committed to equity and high quality care for all New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Endodontics.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Remove diseased or dead pulp tissue from inside the root canals, clean and disinfect the space, and seal the tooth.
• Perform specialized surgeries such as apicoectomies, root canal retreatments, and complex dental trauma.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback of dental residents.
• Conduct didactic instruction including lectures and case presentations.
• Assess resident performance and contribute to formal periodic evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA regulation and standards are met.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $57,750* based on 10.5-hour work week.

Additional Benefits:

• Projected bonus of up to $10,500(based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
