Responsibilities

1. Arrive at least 15 minutes early, prepared for the team morning meeting.
2. Ensure excellent patient experiences by providing timely, friendly, and personalized care.
3. Build rapport with patients and their families, remembering personal details over time.
4. Serve as a chairside assistant proficient in orthodontic procedures including photography, radiographs, impressions, digital scans, wire changes, bracket work, expander and aligner delivery, and retainer fabrication.
5. Use orthodontic terminology accurately in chart notes.
6. Operate practice management software efficiently, including scheduling and assisting with phone duties.
7. Manage a clinical schedule of 12-15 patients daily.
8. Provide comprehensive instructions to patients and parents throughout treatment phases.
9. Assist with instrument sterilization using approved methods.
10. Cross-train with the orthodontic team.
11. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
12. Perform any additional duties assigned by the doctor.

Training & Certification Requirements

• Dental x-ray certification.
• Proven experience as a dental assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform tasks like coronal polishing is a plus.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and reliability.
• High school diploma; graduation from dental assistant school preferred.
