Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT and Radiography. The role involves performing CT and XR imaging, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining current knowledge of equipment.

The position requires ARRT CT certification within one year, BLS, and at least two years’ radiology experience. Strong communication is expected, with bilingual ability viewed as a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRTCT certification within one year of hire; maintained thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Minimum of two years radiology, CT, or XR experience; IEMA licensure current.
• Excellent communication/listening skills; bilingual helpful.
• Ability to move patients and equipment; operate standard department software.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and XR imaging procedures per department standards in a timely manner.
• Meets age-specific competency standards.
• Produces exam images meeting quality standards and submits for interpretation.
• Verifies accuracy of patient demographics, clinical diagnosis, and technical data.
• Adheres to radiation safety procedures and quality control procedures.
• Collaborates with nurses and physicians to ensure optimal patient flow.
