Job summary
La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago seeks an X-Ray Technologist to perform radiography and EKGs, support the Radiology Department, and ensure patient safety and quality imaging. The role requires an AMA-approved radiology program, 1+ year radiology experience, and active Illinois licensure and ARRT certification.

Qualifications
- Completion of a formal radiology technology training program from an AMA-approved school (will accept new grads).
- At least one year experience in clinical radiology and experience with Digital Radiography.
- Current Illinois Radiology Technologist License is required. Accreditation by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency is required and renewed every two years.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate required; annual renewal.
Responsibilities
- Complete and process radiographs and related paperwork.
- Review physician orders to ensure appropriateness of examinations.
- Maintain effective relations with physicians and staff and keep department clean and organized.
- Maintain technical expertise and stay current with regulations.
- Perform EKGs according to departmental guidelines and coordinate reports.
- Maintain required licensure and certifications.
