Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • 0–2 years of modality-specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience.
  • ARRT CT Registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
  • Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).

CT Technologists at MUSC play a critical role in capturing detailed cross-sectional images using cutting‑edge CT technology, including networked CT units, dedicated protocol support, and the only photon counting CT in South Carolina. As a CT technologist at MUSC, you will be aiding in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions, collaborating closely with other care teams to ensure high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment.

CT Technologist – Responsibilities
  • Utilize all CT imaging resources to perform high‑quality CT examinations

Required License, Certification and Registration
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X‑Ray experience.
  • Required Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required. ARRT CT Registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
