Job summary

Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care certified APRN or PA to join our high-performing PICU team, delivering advanced, collaborative critical care to pediatric patients in a dynamic, academic-style environment.

Qualifications

• Pediatric Acute Care Certified APRN or PA required.
• Prior pediatric critical care experience required.
• Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) are not eligible for this role.

Join a high-performing Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, providing advanced, collaborative critical care to pediatric patients in a dynamic, academic-style environment.

Schedule & Coverage

• 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Flexible staffing designed to support patient acuity and team collaboration

Care Model

• Day Shift: Two-team model
  • Team 1: Attending Physician + 2 Residents
  • Team 2: Attending Physician + 1 Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) / PICU Hospitalist
• Night Shift:
  • Either: 1 Attending + 2 Residents (+ Fellow 2 nights/week)
  • Or: 1 Attending + 1 Resident + 1 APP / PICU Hospitalist
