Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a PICU Advanced Practice Provider to join the intensive care team.

You will work as the frontline provider in the pediatric ICU, conducting histories and exams, ordering and interpreting tests, and formulating diagnoses and treatment plans with patient and family education. The role involves ventilator management, vasopressor titration, and post-operative or transplant care, with opportunities to participate in research and academic

Qualifications

• APRN/PA licensure in Illinois required.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• PICU APP credentialing and privileging through Medical Staff Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline ICU care as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform history and physical assessments, orders and interpretation of tests.
• Develop diagnoses and treatment plans with family education.
• Ventilator management, vasopressor titration, ECMO/CRRT management as needed.
• Attend hospital-wide rapid response calls and participate in teaching.
