Job summary

CHOC Children's in Orange County, CA, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Critical Care Division in the PICU. The APP will function as an advanced practice clinician, delivering expert care to critically ill pediatric patients within a family-centered environment.

California licensed and certified NP/PA with at least two years of bedside pediatric ICU nursing experience and Acute Care training are required.

Qualifications

• California licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Two years of bedside nursing experience in direct pediatric intensive care.
• Acute Care training is required.
• At least one year of clinical pediatric NP/PA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat medical patients in the PICU, including pre- and post-operative cases.
• Develop and implement care plans for all PICU patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary PICU team and provide consultation and education to patients and families.
