Nemours Children's Hospital, Orlando, is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Critical Care team, delivering care for medically complex children in a high-performing PICU and advancing pediatric critical care within a nationally recognized children’s health system.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to education and professional growth in a mission-driven pediatric setting, supported by onboarding and mentorship for new APPs.

Qualifications

• Florida APRN or PA license in good standing (active).
• Current AHA BLS and PALS required on hire.
• Pediatric NP-AC certification and APP ICU/acute care experience preferred.
• New-to-practice APPs will receive structured onboarding and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Obtain histories and perform physical assessments.
• Develop diagnoses and evidence-based management plans.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and training.
• Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, therapists and other care team.
• Educate and support patients and families.
• Teach residents and students in the clinical environment.
• Complete timely clinical documentation and support quality initiatives.

Nemours Children's Hospital, Orlando is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Critical Care team. Position Responsibilities

• Obtain patient and family histories and perform physical and developmental assessments.
• Develop diagnoses and participate in creating evidence-based management plans.
• Perform appropriate procedures within scope of practice and clinical training.
• Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, specialists, and other members of the care team.
• Provide education, counseling, and support to patients and families.
• Participate in teaching residents, students, and other learners in the clinical environment.
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and support quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and clear Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certification upon hire.
• Preferred candidates will have Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care certification and pediatric APP experience. Experience in intensive care, transport, acute care, or emergency medicine is welcomed.
• New-to-practice APPs with an appropriate pediatric or acute care background are encouraged to apply and will be supported through structured onboarding, mentorship, and training.
