Qualifications

  • Active DEA registration prior to hire.
  • Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire, if applicable.
  • BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and determine/alter treatment plans appropriate for age and condition.
  • Manage conditions based on evidence-based care, risks, and alternatives.
  • Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and education to patients and families.
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team; escalate to physician or team member when needed.
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation and compliant coding/billing.
  • Facilitate coordinated care and communication among healthcare team and community agencies.
  • Perform office or hospital procedures within scope and privileges.
  • Participate in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives and committees.
  • Educate and onboard new team members and students.
  • Maintain productivity, access, and quality metrics for safe patient care.
  • Provide age-appropriate care and apply growth/development knowledge.
