Job summary

Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care certified APRN or PA to join our high-performing PICU team, delivering advanced, collaborative critical care to pediatric patients in a dynamic, academic-style environment.

Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, fellows, and interdisciplinary teams, participate in a shared care model, with APPs responsible for roughly one-third of the patient census and a maximum caseload of seven patients at a time.

Qualifications

• Pediatric Acute Care Certified APRN or PA required.
• Prior pediatric critical care experience required.
• Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) are not eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide direct care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians, residents, fellows, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Participate in a shared patient care model, with APPs responsible for approximately one-third of the patient census.
• Carry a maximum caseload of 7 patients.
