Sweetgrass Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support pediatric care after hours in Summerville, SC. You will assist physicians, collect specimens, and prepare patients for examinations while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates hold CMA/RMA certification, CPR, and have EMR experience. The role emphasizes accuracy, independence, and compassionate patient interactions in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold active CMA/RMA certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Working knowledge of computer applications; prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs in the chart.
• Instruct patients about medications and diet as directed by the provider.
• Explain treatment procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist physicians during exams and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Collect blood and perform basic laboratory tests as trained.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize equipment; restock supplies.
