Job summary

Atlantic Medical Group in Scotch Plains, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I for per diem, variable shifts including Saturdays. You will support physicians with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation in a fast-paced primary care and pediatrics setting.

Under supervision, you will handle clerical tasks, EMR data entry (EPIC), and collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth operations. A high school diploma and national certification are required; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• National Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision.
• Records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medications under physician supervision.
• Maintains patient records, conducts interviews, and administers screening tools.
• Supports walk-in and scheduled visits and ensures clinical data accuracy.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and updates practice schedules as needed.
• Guides patients through the healthcare system and coordinates referrals as necessary.
