Job summary

Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I for per diem daytime shifts in the AMG Neurology practice in Bridgewater, NJ. You will support physicians and the care team, perform triage, vital signs, specimen collection, and charting in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires a High School diploma and national CCMA certification (or active precertification within 60 days). Preferred: associate degree and 1 year health care experience; 2+ years in outpatient care; EPIC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• National CCMA certification from recognized bodies (NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA or NCCT).
• Precertification agreement must be signed if expired or if certification will be obtained within 60 days of employment.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.
• 1 year of healthcare experience; 2+ years outpatient experience.
• BLS on hire; EPIC or similar EMR; ability to work with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient intake and update medical records.
• Record vital signs and collect specimens.
• Assist with examinations and prepare rooms.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and guide patients through care pathways.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical data and test results.
• Provide emotional support per the care plan.
