Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks a Patient Care Technician I for AMG Pediatrics in Scotch Plains, NJ. This per diem position involves variable shifts, including Saturdays, with responsibilities across vital signs, mobility support, phlebotomy, EKGs, and patient room preparation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for healthcare experience, provider course completion within six months, and BLS within three months. CCMA in PCT is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate.
• 6 months healthcare experience preferred.
• Healthcare Provider course within six months preferred.
• BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire.
• CCMA in PCT program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights.
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if needed.
• Take patient histories and prepare examination rooms.
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition to RN.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory and other duties as assigned.
