Job summary

Atlantic Medical Management, LLC seeks an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Jacksonville Children's Multispecialty Clinic. The CMA will support physicians and care teams, handle patient flows, document in EHR, and assist with clinical procedures.

Flexible with hours as needed. The ideal candidate has CMA certification, pediatric experience, and at least 2 years of clinical work, with strong terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited Certified Medical Assistant program.
• Pediatric MA experience preferred.
• 2+ years clinical experience.
• Must have basics of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in a clinical setting.
• Answer telephones and greet patients professionally.
• Update patient medical records in NextGen EHR.
• Assist in coordinating patient care from pre-visit to post-visit.
• Take medical histories and record vital signs.
• Assist physician during exams and procedures; handle instruments.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens and perform basic tests.
• Prepare treatment rooms and keep them clean and organized.
• Provide patient education and inform about care resources.
• Telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy and manage refills.
