Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist Specialist at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. This full-time role focuses on optimizing patient care through collaboration with the health team, with oversight of clinical protocols and programs. Responsibilities include medication reviews and resident precepting where applicable.

The position requires Illinois pharmacy licensure, a Pharm D. preferred, and advanced residency credentials.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. from ACPE accredited school preferred.
• PGY1 residency plus 1 year of practice if appropriate for the program setting OR alternate residency pathway.
• A minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in the program setting is required.
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License is required.
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective use of medications.
• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services and conduct medication reviews.
• Lead and maintain a service or program within the department or health system.
• Serve as a primary preceptor for pharmacy residents where applicable and comply with training program requirements.

Hourly Pay Range:

$61.48 - $95.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time (40 hrs/week)
• Hours: Monday-Friday, Days

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
  • PGY1 residency plus 1 year of pharmacy practice as appropriate for the program setting OR

PGY1 residency plus PGY2 residency plus 6 months of pharmacy practice as appropriate for the program setting OR

A minimum of three years of pharmacy experience as appropriate for the program setting

• Required License/Certification:
  • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
  • Certification through Board of Pharmacy Specialties (Preferred)

What you will do:

The Clinical Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing patient care by collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. As a member of our pharmacy team, provides specialized pharmaceutical services, conducts medication reviews, and contributes to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guideline. In addition, leads and maintains a service or program related to clinical, technical or operational areas within the department or health system. Where applicable, this role may also serve as a primary preceptor for pharmacy residents and must comply with all requirements associated with the training program and accrediting bodies
