Job summary

Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Hospital seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for part-time, rotating swing/PM shifts. Location is Elmhurst, IL, with every-other weekend and rotating holidays. The role offers premium pay and incentives as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

The pharmacist will coordinate daily clinical pharmacy services, contribute to new service development, and supervise staff to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. from ACPE accredited school preferred.
• Clinical residency with 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice or 5 years of clinical practice.
• Current Illinois Pharmacist license; CPR and ACLS within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical pharmacy services to ensure daily optimal care.
• Develop new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure competency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$58.00 - $89.90 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: ClinicalPharmacist
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital
• Part Time (40 hours/per 2 week pay period)
• Hours: Rotating Shifts (Mostly swing and PM shift with occasional day shift. 12:30pm-9pm and 2:30-11pm). Every other weekend and rotating holidays (3 per year) required

What you will need:

• Education :

  • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
  • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)
  • Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience

• Required License/Certification :

  • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.

What you will do:

Responsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis. Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows. Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
