Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our hospital-based pharmacy team. The role focuses on optimizing pediatric medication use, conducting reviews, and developing clinical protocols in a collaborative setting.

The position requires a Pharm D. (preferred), PGY1 residency with practical experience or PGY2/3 years in a similar program, and an Illinois Pharmacist license.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited school preferred.
• PGY1 residency plus 1 year of practice required; PGY2 residency or 3+ years experience may be acceptable.
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License required; BPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize safe and effective medication use.
• Conducts medication reviews and develops clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Leads and maintains a clinical, technical or operational program within the department or health system.
• May serve as a primary preceptor for pharmacy residents and adheres to training program requirements.

What You Will Need

• Education:
• Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
• PGY1 residency plus 1 year of pharmacy practice as appropriate for the program setting OR
  

PGY1 residency plus PGY2 residency plus 6 months of pharmacy practice as appropriate for the program setting OR A minimum of three years of pharmacy experience as appropriate for the program setting

• Required License/Certification:
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
• Certification through Board of Pharmacy Specialties (Preferred)

What You Will Do

The Clinical Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing patient care by collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. As a member of our pharmacy team, provides specialized pharmaceutical services, conducts medication reviews, and contributes to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guideline. In addition, leads and maintains a service or program related to clinical, technical or operational areas within the department or health system. Where applicable, this role may also serve as a primary preceptor for pharmacy residents and must comply with all requirements associated with the training program and accrediting bodies
