Job summary

Endeavor Health currently seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This part-time role (40 hours per 2 weeks) features rotating swings and a PM shift with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications include a Pharm D. (ACPE preferred), with residency or 5+ years clinical pharmacy experience, active IL pharmacist license, and ACLS/CPR certifications. Responsibilities include coordinating daily clinical services and staff development.

Qualifications

  • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited school preferred.
  • Clinical residency with at least 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred (or 5+ years of clinical practice).
  • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License.
  • CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) within six weeks of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical pharmacy services to ensure daily optimal care.
  • Assist in developing new pharmacy services and workflows.
  • Facilitate staff education and competency.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel to maintain clinical programs.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to promote safe, cost‑effective therapies.

Position Highlights
  • Position: Clinical Pharmacist
  • Location: Elmhurst Hospital
  • Part Time (40 hours/per 2 week pay period)
  • Hours: Rotating Shifts (Mostly swing and PM shift with occasional day shift. 12:30pm-9pm and 2:30-11pm). Every other weekend and rotating holidays (3 per year) required
What You Will Need
  • Education:
    • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
    • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)
    • Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience
  • Required License/Certification:
    • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
    • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
    • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.
What You Will Do

Responsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis. Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows. Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
