Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a front desk team member to warmly welcome patient families and act as a liaison between families and the clinical team. The role reports to the Primary Care Practice Manager and collaborates with the Lead Clinic Coordinator for optimal outcomes.

The position involves check-in/check-out, scheduling via EPIC, MyChart registration, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while delivering excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist patients, parents and staff.
• Excellent concentration to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to support primary care locations as needed.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient scheduling processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patient families at the front desk.
• Schedule, reschedule and manage appointments using EPIC and related queues.
• Register patients and legal guardians in MyChart and capture demographics and insurance details.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper release of information.
• Maintain accurate registration information and complete checklists.
• Uphold organizational ethics and professional conduct.
