Job summary

Bronson Pediatrics - Stadium Dr., Kalamazoo is seeking a Practice Support Assistant (Clinic Receptionist) for a full-time 40 hrs/wk position. The role covers greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, and basic clerical duties in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, maintaining confidentiality, handling insurance information, and using MISYS/Tiger or similar practice management systems. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3-6 months of related experience required.
• Previous experience with medical insurance highly preferred.
• Must have keyboarding and computer skills, the ability to file accurately, professional communication and excellent customer service skills.
• Previous computer experience including hospital-based programs (i.e., Medic/Misys/Tiger or other practice management system) preferred.
• Proficient in organizing, alphabetizing, filing and prioritizing multiple tasks, with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and confirms demographic and insurance information.
• Completes required fields in the practice management system.
• Determines patient co-payments and collects payments due.
• Enter charges/payments into MISYS/Tiger system.
• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments, tests, and referrals.
• Answers phones, takes messages, routes calls, and provides information per service standards.
• Maintains patient medical records and confidentiality of data.
