Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is hiring for a full-time patient care role at the Burnet Campus in the SDS department. You will support the Plan of Care under supervision of an RN, supervise daily living activities, and assist with patient transport as needed.

The role emphasizes CARES customer service, accurate documentation, and a safe environment for patients and families. A high school diploma or equivalent with clinical rotation, or STNA/CNA credentials, is required, plus CPR training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; clinical rotation from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited program OR
• Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA (reciprocity within 180 days) OR
• Ohio/National EMS Registry OR
• 1+ year patient care experience in last 3 years OR
• CPR certification and maintenance required

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care under RN supervision; assist with ADLs and supervise developmentally appropriate activities.
• Communication: demonstrate CARES behaviors; report changes and document in the patient record; seek guidance as needed.
• Environment: keep areas safe, organized, and compliant with infection control policies; ensure safe environment for patients and staff.
• Administrative Support: respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts, stock supplies, assist in training new staff.
