University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking a contract research support role within the Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research in the Department of Pediatrics. The role involves screening participants for eligibility, collecting and entering data, and ensuring protocol compliance in behavioral-therapy studies addressing obesity and related conditions.

• Theoretical knowledge of social sciences, psychology, clinical sciences, nutrition, or public health.
• Experience performing clinical research duties in a clinical research environment.
• Experience using Velos, Access, Excel and MS Word.
• Experience providing in-service training to various research personnel on protocols, processes, and procedures.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to work in a changing, multiple-demand setting to prioritize workload.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to interact with a diverse population.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including professional and non-professional staff and clients.
• Experience meeting deadlines efficiently and accurately.
