Stanford Medicine Children's Health is seeking a Relief ASL Interpreter to provide medical and general interpretation for patients, families, and staff across LPCHS and satellite locations. The role acts as a cultural broker and advocate to ensure clear communication and patient care.

The interpreter will assess understanding, coordinate with scheduling, and record services in the electronic chart. Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience; licenses are not required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• No license/certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical and general interpreting for patients, families, and staff across LPCHS and satellite locations.
• Serve as Language Bridge and cultural consultant to staff and caregivers.
• Assess patient understanding and inform care teams of comprehension levels.
• Document services in the electronic health record (CERNER) and coordinate scheduling to optimize patient care.
