Qualifications

• Valid CDE authorization for educational interpreting
• EIPA score 3.5 or higher
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in ASL/interpreting
• Associate degree in ASL/interpreting considered
• Strong memory and real-time processing
• Experience in educational interpreting settings

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken English into ASL and vice versa
• Provide interpretation in educational, medical, clinical or office environments
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics
• Research subject matter in advance for technical terminology
• Demonstrate listening skills, memory retention, and signing clarity
• Collaborate with staff and clients to ensure access
