Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with courses in anatomy/physiology and medical terminology, plus experience in medical interpretation and CDI settings.

Qualifications

• Advanced Medical Terminology in source and target language(s).
• Proficiency in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation with high accuracy.
• Cultural competence and adherence to ethics for healthcare interpreters.
• RID or equivalent certification preferred for professional standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation in-person, video, or telephone encounters.
• Coordinate interpretation assignments with units and providers.
• Maintain records and document encounters according to policy.
• Assist in staff training and onboarding of qualified bilingual staff.
