Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support OR scheduling, prepare anesthesia equipment across multiple sites, and assist anesthesia teams during procedures.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, troubleshooting with Biomedical Engineering, and ensuring sterile technique and patient safety in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; associates degree preferred.
• BLS certification required; ASATT certification preferred.
• Previous OR or healthcare experience required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic practices preferred.
• Ability to read/write in English to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Consults OR schedule to determine supply and equipment needs.
• Prepares and supports anesthesia equipment in OR, Cath Lab, IR, MRI, CT and Procedure Suites.
• Maintains and supports anesthesia machines and related equipment.
• Assists anesthesia attending with preparing patients for procedures.
• Troubleshoots equipment with Biomedical Engineering for issue resolution.
• Demonstrates service principles and teamwork to provide high quality care.
