Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency.
• Completion of a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship.
• Minimum seven years of post-residency clinical pediatric anesthesiology experience.
• Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology with pediatric subspecialty.
• Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure and DEA registration.
• BLS and PALS certification; hospital credentialing eligibility.
• Proven track record in clinical excellence and leadership.
• Strong analytical, communication, and strategic skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for clinical, educational, and research activities.
• Oversee pediatric anesthesia services across perioperative care.
• Maintain an active clinical practice aligned with needs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Develop departmental protocols, pathways, and quality initiatives.
• Recruit, mentor, and credential physicians and staff.
• Manage budget, resources, and capital planning with admins.
• Serve on the medical executive committee and participate in planning.
• Oversee anesthesia coverage for surgical and procedural areas.
• Foster collaboration among surgeons, nursing, and admin teams.
• Lead or support research, publications, and education programs.
• Drive patient experience improvements and program growth.
