Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager of IT M&A Infrastructure within Private Equity Performance Improvement Services. The role focuses on pre‑acquisition and post‑deal IT infrastructure solutions for upper‑mid market and large‑cap PE portfolio companies.

You will lead IT diligence, merger integration, and Day‑1/100‑day IT programs, partnering with directors to align tech strategy with business goals. The position requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong cross‑functional leadership, and

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience with at least five years in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation and change management.
• Demonstrable experience in solution and enterprise architecture and infrastructure, IT assessment and strategy development, IT performance improvement and cost reduction
• Experience in Private Equity advisory, IT merger integration and carve-out, and business/IT transformation program or project management (ERP)
• Excellent communication for client-facing documentation and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-acquisition IT diligence, evaluating infrastructure supporting ERP, WMS, CRM, and productivity tools.
• Analyze enterprise architecture, software development lifecycle, budgets, and organizational personnel.
• Design and execute IT merger integration and carve-out plans for portfolio companies.
• Lead Day-1 and 100-day post-deal IT integration to drive performance improvement.
• Manage IT performance improvement assignments including cloud migrations and cloud spend optimization.
• Provide interim IT infrastructure and operations management as needed.
• Support transition service agreements, governance, and enterprise architecture alignment.
• Collaborate with Directors and above to align technology strategy with portfolio goals
