Job summary

Stantec is seeking a mid-level civil engineer to contribute to dam, power and infrastructure projects in the Nashville area. You will work under a senior engineer, perform calculations, field work, and assist in preparing designs and reports.

You will lead tasks for junior team members, support construction activities, and help develop new standards while traveling 25-50% as needed. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and EIT/PE licensure are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training or Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one jurisdiction with reciprocity.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Travel/field work 25-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conducts analyses and calculations under the direction of a Project Technical Lead or Senior Engineer.
• Performs field work related to geotechnical explorations or construction activities.
• Assists in preparing designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports.
• Manage and lead other team members while working on projects and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Support services during construction including submittal reviews and RFIs.
• Develop new standards and specifications for the discipline.
• Prepare portions of proposals, change orders, client contact and communications for projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
