Job summary

Stantec seeks an Intern/Co-op in Knoxville, TN to support water infrastructure projects including dams, treatment facilities, and stormwater systems. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team and apply civil engineering coursework in real-world settings.

Responsibilities include assisting with project administration, data gathering, basic design tasks in CAD and GIS, and field observations. Strong communication and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project administration: write reports, gather information, draft proposals and correspondence, track costs, and compile progress reports.
• Assist technical staff with data gathering, research, and calculations for design projects.
• Perform modeling and design activities on water infrastructure projects.
• Gain exposure to CAD, GIS, and other design programs.
• Conduct field observations and assist with field work as needed.
• Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required.
