Stantec is seeking a Senior Engineer in Lexington, KY to lead civil engineering teams on dam, power, and infrastructure projects. You will perform calculations, field work, and client interactions while mentoring staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

You will help establish project scope, budgets, and design, participate in proposals and client interviews, and ensure compliance with design and construction codes. This role requires travel and a strong client focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one jurisdiction with reciprocity ability.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Willingness to travel 10–20%.
• Field work may include exposure to the elements.

Responsabilités

• Providing mentoring and training for junior staff.
• Promoting collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies.
• Contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
• Serving as Engineer-of-Record on projects.
• Assisting in developing project scope, budgets, and design for various sized projects, supporting marketing and business development professionals.
• Assisting with establishing project objectives, procedures, and performance standards, and leading multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services for multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Supervising the work of other engineers, including setting priorities for their scope of work, their budgets and their schedules for completing the work.
• Leading project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Maintaining and enhancing our reputation with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.
• Developing client relationships to facilitate project activities.
• Growing internal and external networks to enhance Stantec’s reputation and identifying additional talent to join our team.
• Remaining current on regulatory policy and rule changes and may establish working relationships with regulatory officials.
• Working in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients, and the public by following company health, safety and security guidelines and policies.
• Engaging in leadership in Professional organizations that align with expertise, writing technical papers, and delivering technical presentations for conference and symposia events.
