Job summary

First Choice Nurses in Virginia is hiring experienced PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads. Shifts include 7a–7p and 7p–7a, and you choose the hours that fit your life.

You will deliver high‑quality patient care, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Required: Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU in past 4 years, BLS, ACLS, TB test in past year, and vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
