Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life and schedule, from 7a-7p to 7p-7a, with daily and weekly pay options.

You must hold an active Virginia RN license, have at least 2 years of recent PCU experience, and current AHA BLS/ACLS certifications; QuantiFERON-TB Gold within the past year, and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
