First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. You will pick from shifts that fit your life, with options like 7a-7p and 7p-7a and a focus on high-quality patient care.

Active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, and certifications (AHA BLS/ACLS) are required, with vaccination or approved exemption. Competitive per diem pay and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
