Job summary

First Choice Nurses offers PCU RNs per diem shifts in Virginia, with the freedom to choose your own schedule and locations across Hampton Roads. Pay ranges from $56.25 to $57.25 per hour, with daily or weekly options and per diem benefits.

As a PCU RN, you’ll provide high-quality care in acute-care hospitals, assess patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer treatments, and collaborate with physicians while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS and ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
