Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities across the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. Per diem schedule lets you pick up shifts you want, with Day and Night options and a compensation range of $56.25-$58.00 per hour.

You’ll deliver high-quality care in leading acute care hospital settings, maintain EMR documentation, monitor cardiac rhythms, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and PCU equipment.
• Recognize condition changes and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control standards and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt to different hospital environments and unit needs.

Education

Active Virginia RN License

2+ years PCU experience

BLS - AHA

ACLS - AHA

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (12 mos)

COVID-19 vaccination or exemption
