Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA seeks PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Earn $56.25–$57.25 per hour with 7a-7p and 7p-7a options, choosing your own schedule and enjoying daily or weekly pay. Flexible shifts let you work as little as one shift per month.

As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, assess and monitor patients, manage rhythms, and collaborate with care teams while maintaining EMR documentation and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience.
• AHA BLS Current certification.
• AHA ACLS Current certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
