Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour with flexible 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, choosing the days that fit your life.

As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team. Per diem schedule offers daily or weekly pay options and a locally supported staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (required).
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing in past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
